2. Data We Collect

To provide the Service, we collect information you give us directly — your name, email address, and location when you register; your CV content and job descriptions when you use the platform. We also collect basic technical data automatically (IP address, browser type, device type) and anonymized usage events to understand how the product is used.

Payment details (card numbers, billing address) go directly to Keepz.me and are never stored by whynotapply.

We do not collect sensitive personal data such as health information, racial or ethnic origin, or political opinions.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to operate the Service — generate your documents, maintain your account, process payments, and send you transactional notifications when relevant. We also use anonymized usage data to improve the product.

We do not use your CV data, work history, or generated outputs to train AI models. Your content is processed only to produce the output you requested.

4. Who We Share Data With

We do not sell your personal data. The only third party that receives your personal information is Keepz.me, which processes payments on our behalf. Keepz receives your email address and transaction details. We may also disclose data if required by law or court order.

5. Data Retention

Your account data and CV content are kept while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of account closure. Generation history is retained for 12 months. Payment records are kept for 7 years as required by financial regulations.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to how it is processed. To make a request, contact us at hello@whynotapply.me.

7. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), access controls, and secure storage. No system is 100% secure; if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

8. Cookies

We use a limited set of cookies necessary for the Service to function (authentication session cookies) and analytics cookies (PostHog). We do not use advertising cookies or sell cookie data.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling session cookies will prevent you from logging in to the Service.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
